QUEER INDIAN SADHUS AND YOGIS

  Among the many hallmarks that India posseses, the species of sadhus and yogis has been noteworthy to attract the attention of the masses the world over.This is attributed partly to their strange appearance, their costume, the siddhis (miracles) they possess and other extraordinary qualities. A genuine sadhu or yogi follows the path of renunciation, he likes to live in solitude. But there are others who acquire worldwide publicity. Their word becomes gospel for thousands and millions of followers the world over. They are regarded as a medium to communicate with the spirit world including the highest hierchy of Divine world. Watch these strange and extraordinary facial images of Indian sadhus and yogis.

  The photograph of Paramhans Yogananda one hour before he willfully left his body after giving a short speech in Los Angeles in 1952. Author of the famous book - Autobiography of a Yogi, he is regarded as the father of Yoga in the West. Even twenty days after his death, there was no decay, no disintegration, no sign of any decomposition in his body!


  The most fearsome of all sadhus called Aghori. Their rituals are weird. They eat human flesh and meditate while sitting on the body of a corpse. Watch this video with discretion!
